Six-Day War
The Six-Day War took place in 1967 between Israel and neighboring Arab states.
In this war, Israel fought on multiple fronts and captured:
- Gaza Strip from Egypt
- West Bank and East Jerusalem from Jordan
- Golan Heights from Syria
Important
The war greatly expanded Israeli-controlled territory and intensified the Arab-Israeli conflict.
It also deepened Palestinian demands represented by groups such as the Palestinian Liberation Organization.
