Nelson Mandela

Nelson Mandela was a major leader of resistance to Apartheid in South Africa.

He was a lawyer and socialist who became internationally known for leading opposition to racial segregation.

Mandela is often remembered as a symbol of justice, reconciliation, and resistance to white-minority rule.

Although he at times accepted sabotage, he was especially associated with mass protest and anti-apartheid resistance.
