Muslim League

The Muslim League was a political organization founded in 1906 in British India.

It advocated a separate homeland for Muslims and became a major force behind the creation of Pakistan.

The Muslim League played a key role in the partition of South Asia in 1947.

It emerged alongside the Indian independence movement but differed sharply from groups seeking a united India.
